Great question! Our Business Consulting team is a dynamic and strategic area of the organisation, where you engage with various industries to drive operational efficiency and enhance business performance. In this role, you might work on projects such as developing a comprehensive supply chain optimisation strategy, implementing a digital transformation initiative, or conducting market analysis to support a merger and acquisition process. In contrast, our People Advisory Services team (also know as People Consulting) is a fast-paced area of the business, where you get to work alongside a diverse range of teams and individuals. In this role, you might engage in projects such as designing and implementing a talent management framework, conducting employee engagement surveys to assess workplace culture, or develop training programs aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities within a company.
Both areas offer unique opportunities for growth and development within EY, and as they both sit under the Consulting business area, there are often opportunities to work collaboratively. The biggest difference comes with speciality. People Advisory Services focuses on programmes and projects that have to do with People - behavioural change, tax work, etc. it's a joint service line between tax and advisory. Business Consulting is more an umbrella term for other consulting projects within a business, such as supply chain.
Hope this helps!
