Hi, I think the most interesting part of mgmt. consulting is the variability in the roles and projects you work on. You're working across so many different industries and clients that you have the opportunity to learn skills that you wouldn't have otherwise even thought of. Similarly with the roles that you do, they can span from being project management based right through to an Enterprise Architect in Technology. You can also specialise and be a financial mgmt. consultant who will only work on engagements to support financial roles, or work in the financial services practice which only works with clients in the financial sector (Banking, insurance.. etc). There are great opportunities to switch to a consulting role whilst leveraging your financial background. I hope that helps!
