I think just don't be afraid to ask questions and admit when you don't know something, always ask for help if you need it

Everyone's really nice and always willing to help

Do you find it difficult to balance when to try and work something out yourself and when to ask for help?

No not really

You'll have a buddy when you join who is in the year above you. They are there to help you with everything, so you have a designated person to go to
