How was your experience of the summer internship?

My experience of the summer internship was great, hence what led me to accept an offer for the graduate scheme. I was able to assist on projects which gave me good exposure to the type of work I would be doing in the role. This included attending client meetings and pieces of analysis on excel. There were lots of networking opportunities not only with the team I was with but also with the other summer interns!

Hi Rachel. I completed the internship in 2016 in GPS Audit in Southampton. I was allocated to real client engagements, working with EY teams to complete audits around Hampshire. I was given a huge amount of support and coaching by the teams, and communicated that I wanted to get stuck in. It was interesting timing for me in terms of networking as I was the only intern at the office and a lot of the associates were out at college, but still managed to attend the two events they had on for the office. When you do the internship you are allocated a buddy (an associate) and a counsellor (a manager) to support you.
