Hi Pete, I chose an apprenticeship as I always loved working at the weekends and knew I wanted to continue on a path working! I also knew in the job market currently it looks so good to have experience, especially in a firm such as EY!
It has exceeded my expectations socially. I was a bit worried joining that I would miss out on the friendship aspect of University, however I can honestly say I am best friends with my team and made friends for life in the apprenticeship.

Hi,

For me, it was the chance to work with some of the largest companies and to work so with some really cool tech.

Hi Pete! I chose to do an apprenticeship as it provides a great opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience while also earning a wage and obtaining a recognised qualification.

Personally, I felt like the university route wasn't for me. The apprenticeship was a chance for me to earn and learn while at one of the biggest accounting firms in the world! It has been great so far, with so many opportunities in and out of day to day work

EY is a global Firm and therefore there are always different opportunities internally - I think that really stands out to me because if you find yourself in a role you're not totally happy with, there are always different internal routes available to you. This includes in different teams and in different locations too.

Digital & Technology Apprentice

Hey Pete! Personally, I choose the apprenticeship as it offers structure. I attended University and left as I didn’t enjoy the large amounts of downtime and having no money! It offered an opportunity to learn, work and earn money with no student loan debt. I chose EY specifically as it’s a world-leading financial services provider with lots of other opportunities outside of just the role and qualification.
