What are normal working hours like on the Assurance Graduate Scheme?
Additional information
What's your experience of managing studying, work and other life on the Assurance Audit Grad Scheme? What are the actual working hours? I understand that there's travel to client sites. I'm wondering whether I can still run a small business on the side whilst working at EY on the Graduate Scheme.

Hi, thanks for your question!
I think the hours that you work depend on the job you are working on and the stage you are in the audit. For example, if you are working on an audit that is nearing completion, you may find that you have a slightly heavier workload than audits that are at the interim stage. It also depends on the level you are at as I presume managers may have slightly longer working days than new graduates. However, throughout my time at EY so far, I have not had any crazy late nights working and get time to relax and socialize outside of work hours. As for the study periods at ICAS, I personally find that night time and some weekend studying is required - but obviously this is your own choice and depends on how confident you feel with the study materials. Overall, I would say that the working hours at EY are very manageable and are nothing to be concerned about! If you have any other questions please let me know 😀
