Is it true that during FS Assurance busy seasons I could be working past midnight multiple times a week?

Yes, that's possible. Busy season is the time after a client's year end when there is a lot of work to complete in a short period of time. Hours fluctuate depending on the volume of work, stage of the audit, and most importantly the client. My experience has been that you're only expected to work when necessary and teams are all in it together!
