So one of the main reasons I chose Cambridge was that I thought a smaller office would mean that there would be more of a family feel to the office and so you'd know more people around the office - I couldn't have been more right! I still think you'd get the same sort of experience in London and any of the other EY offices but I definitely haven't looked back at joining a smaller office.

Obviously it depends on the location more suitable for you but because Cambridge and London are the same distance from me, I chose Cambridge on the more close knit feel of it

Is the office much smaller?

Yes it is much smaller than the London office but that is definitely not an issue. You tend to spend most of your working weeks on a client site visiting the businesses and tend to only come into the office for social events, office-wide meetings, etc. So the smaller size of the office has never been an issue for me and tends to be nicer as bump into more people you know.
