Will you be at a disadvantage if you do not have experience in SQL etc... when applying for Technology Consultancy?

Additional information

In the "are you eligible to apply" section for Technology Consultancy, it says that it is an added bonus if you have some experience in SQL, Python, R, VBA, SPSS, or minitab, and databases, data analysis/manipulation and reporting. I have experience in working with large datasets in STATA for a university dissertation - will this be enough? If this will put me at a disadvantage, would I be more successful in a job application for business consultancy as this does not show that experience in SQL etc... is an added bonus? Furthermore, I see that for Quantitative Advisory Service, experience in SAS, SQL, Python, R or VBA are also an added bonus. Am I unlikely to be successful in an application for this programme without this knowledge?

Hi Tom, yes this will be fine. For both programmes it's simply a bonus if you already have coding experience so you will not be at a disadvantage if you don't have this. You will be taught what you need on the job so if you do well in the application process you will be successful. All we're looking for is the appetite to learn
