I'm due to join within tax, however I'm also interested in technology. How can someone become a tax tech consultant?

Hi Michael, I understand that you are due to join the Tax graduate scheme in which you will work towards completing the CA?

The Tax Technology team sits within the tax sub service line, we have our own graduate programme however still open to having tax graduates come and work on technology projects (that is how I got involved in the first place)

So once you join if you show an interest in technology, you will probably be aligned to a few tax technology projects where possible

I'd definitely be interested in tax technology projects, to show my interest shall I just reach out through the mentor/ buddy schemes or is there anything else I should be doing?

Once you join, you can speak to your counselor and they will try to make it happen where possible, so you can be included in some tax tech projects. however your main projects will be focused on tax :)

Hello, I am due to start in September this year in Assurance in the Manchester office and I love technology and always have done. Would there be any similar opportunities in the Assurance sector or not? Thank you

HI James, the same applies to Assurance, if you are due to join the Assurance grad scheme, there is a lot of technology work going on in that sector as well
Once you join if you raise your interest with your counselor, where possible you will be involved in assurance projects where we use more technology

Thank you Nidhi. I am due to join the Assurance sector as an apprentice as oppose to a graduate. Would this still be the case?

Hi James - I work within the student recruitment team and the Assurance Apprentices and Graduates experience the same process and have the same opportunities so you'll absolutely have the same opportunities available to you and to get involved with different technologies.
