I work in EY's Student Recruitment team looking after UK universities.

I started at EY in 2018 as part of the People Advisory Services - Workforce Advisory Graduate programme in Glasgow. After 3 years in Consulting, I moved over to EY's Student Recruitment team looking after schools and university student recruitment in Scotland and North of England. Within the team, I now lead the UK Student Recruitment University Attraction team.

Supervising Associate - EY Student Talent Attraction and Acquisition

I lead the UK Student Recruitment University Attraction Team in my current role. This includes building relationships with university students, faculty, and societies across the UK to share EY's various student opportunities; from our Spring Insights, our Summer Internships, our 12-month placements, and our Graduate programmes. These activities include on-campus events, pop-up installations, presentations, or drop-in sessions - and virtual events - information webinars, application support, or Q&A panels.

Meeting students across the UK and helping them find their dream job!

I love meeting new students and hearing about their time at university, the societies they are involved in, what they enjoy doing, and most importantly understanding their future goals and career aspirations. At EY we have programmes for everyone! From finance to technology, to consulting - we have it all. I enjoy helping students find roles aligning with their goals, passions, and skills.

Be yourself! (and practice, practice, practice!)

At EY, we want to hire you for being you. So my top advice is always to be yourself in your application. From submitting your CV through to an interview always be your authentic self. Not only will this help you avoid saying what you think we want to hear, but it will also help you be more relaxed and allow you to showcase yourself and your skills better throughout the application. My second piece of advice is practice, practice, practice! When it comes to online assessment you can never practice enough. Use EY's Preparation Plus platform (or all the free platforms you can find through search engines) to really make sure you are fully prepared for the application process.

Getting back onto campuses across the UK!

This year we have visited so many universities across the UK in 4 UK-wide EY campaigns. It was great to get back out and interact with students post-pandemic. Students loved coming into our EY tent, winning some EY merch, and hearing about our programmes - and we loved seeing you!
