Looking ahead how do you see EY evolving, and which part of your role today makes you want to be part of that future?

    This is a really interesting question! During my time at EY, I've already seen great shifts towards a more technology focused approach, particularly with recent developments in AI capability. EY's continued investment in its people, providing opportunities to upskill  in this space, have made this really tangible and helped our clients unlock new potential. 

    What excites me most is moving beyond AI as just a tool, and instead using it to shape new ways of thinking, making decisions and designing solutions that help clients prepare for what’s next. This is mirrored in EY's mindset, skillset and toolset approach, shifting the focus beyond just the technology, and I'm looking forward to continuing my work in this space.

    I think it's clear that the big developments coming down the pipe at EY (and other organisations) is the development of technology and particularly AI. I have seen my team and the wider organisation embracing this technology to enhance our abilities, rather than to replace us, and it has been really exciting to see. The hope is that these technologies will allow us to delegate the parts of our jobs that are perhaps less engaging, leaving us to do the parts of the job that would formerly have been reserved for more senior staff - in my role that looks like more complex pieces of client advice than would previously have been available coming down to me, rather than being reserved for more senior staff. 

    I am keen to be part of this future because it suggests an EY that trusts its more junior staff with more senior work sooner, allowing them to develop quicker and more effectively. This sort of enhanced personal development is very exciting to be a part of!
