Hi Andrew. As long as you have not studied for a professional qualification you are welcome to apply to our graduate programme. For the majority of our programmes we welcome applicants from all degree backgrounds. Only a small number of our positions require a specific degree, please check the requirements of the programme you’re interested in for more detail. It's your natural strengths that matter to us. ukcareers.ey.com/graduates. Thanks.

Hi Andrew - good question! Yes you can absolutely still apply for the graduate scheme with that background. While I joined straight out of university, many of my peers had graduated a few years before and had been working in the meantime. My advice would be to never refer to the experience as unrelated - every bit of past experience will be applicable in some shape or form!

Hope this helps!

Hi there, I would like to add to this to add that the situation remains the same in 2023. We do not have an age limit on any of our roles or have a time limit since graduation and welcome applications from all people of all backgrounds.

Also working previously in an unrelated field is also fine, it is not something we would take into consideration. If anything it may mean you have more robust and detailed answers to give in your interview.

The only thing I would say is to bear in mind the majority of the incoming cohort will be recent graduates, but as long as you're happy with that then we'd be more than happy to welcome your application. Hope you applied! Sophie.
