Coming from a non-finance degree i’m concerned about initial exams, what support do I get?
Additional information
I come from a science degree and I have no background in tax at all, I’m worried it’ll be too much at once and I’ll fall behind my peers or even fail.

Hi Billie, good question. I do not know the exact figure for this but I was told when my cohort started in September 2021, that around 80% of graduates start with a non-relevant degree i.e. not accounting or finance based. My advice to you is to not worry about this. The professional exam course such as ICAS, are taught on the basis of no prior knowledge.
You will find that the majority of your class is in the same position as you. This can provide great support to each other all being in the same position.
You will be paired up with an EY Buddy when you start. This person along with your counsellor, are another two great sources of support.
There will be a liaison person within EY who looks after graduate students for further advice.
Possibly the biggest piece of advice, however at least from my point of view, is to lean on the tutor who is teaching these courses. They have seen it all in terms of students and the issue that they face. Reach out to ask for support. There are multiple forum and chat room options available for extra tuition support. Don't be afraid to ask - you will not be alone.
Hope this helps
