I think one of the biggest things to know is that no-one expects you to have any knowledge on audit/accountancy before you start, so you don't necessarily have to do any prep around this

Was it quite difficult getting your head around things at the start

It's also good to research EY and researching your given role will obviously benefit you, but everything you need to know will be taught to you

Yeah it is a lot of new information and knowledge to take in, but everyone is so happy to help. I've found especially that people at all levels in the company are willing to take time out to explain things to you, so it's a very supportive environment

Sounds good. Do you think an excel course would be beneficial or is that not so relevant

If you have the spare time to do one it would benefit you as we use Excel a lot. Personally, I didn't have much Excel knowledge so I've had to take the time to learn even the basic things, so if you have this knowledge it would help you

It is certainly strange to start in this environment, but again everyone has been so supportive to us in it. For example, people will share their screen with you so you can clearly see what you need to, and we use microsoft teams a lot to speak to each other, so there is still a lot of interaction. They also run socials quite often so you get to speak to people then as well. But I am excited to get into the office and finally see people face to face

Do you work with new teams quite a lot or is it the same group of people
