Hi Samantha. From my own experience of the application process, the hardest step for me was the video interview. However, that has now been taking out so is no longer in the process! I genuinely enjoyed all different aspects of my application process, but if I had some advice, prepare to your best ability and show your personality and skills off.

Prepare to the best of your abilities. What service line is it?

Very good. If I were you I would learn about what the Transactions service line at EY do and the different sub-service lines within them i.e. restructuring, liquidations etc.

Hi Samantha, I am currently working in Restructuring. Do you have any specific questions that you would like to know the answer to?

Samantha D.

Hi Annabelle! Is there anything you wish you knew about working at EY or restructuring before you started and is there anything you’d recommend I learn about in particular about transactions? And have you found that you wished you had studied anything in particular before starting I studied maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at A Level. Sorry I know that is a lot of questions in one.

Those are great subjects to have taken - the exact same ones that I took. The skills that you learn from these you can definitely apply in Restructuring. With regards to if there was anything I wish I had known, it was probably just how great the team would be. Everyone is very keen to help you get started and help you achieve your initial aims. I would focus on what we do in Restructuring by reading our page on the EY website and perhaps seeing if there are any interesting updates on the EY TAS twitter. Please don't feel like we expect you to know everything that we do, just the key parts!
