In the sense that you're giving clients assurance of what their financial statements say. Actuarial is to do with risk management. In actuarial there are 3 departments: Life insurance, general and pension. It's entirely based around insurance

It's pretty good. You get 42 study days a year. You get your exams and study material paid for. I spend a lot of time on excel
