If had one piece of advice for us as potential apprentices what would it be

There are so many different apprenticeships out there, take time to research and think about what you want out of an apprenticeship to ensure you are applying for the ones which fit you best. Check out the qualifications you receive, and what you have to do in order to achieve them.

When in interviews its okay to make mistakes or stutter just carry on and try to keep talking and don't stress over it. It's more impressive to make a mistake and save it compared to getting flustered and stopping speaking.

Great question! My best piece of advice would be, during the interview process, research exactly what you want to be doing, which service line, FSO vs. UKI (if anyone is unsure on these then feel free to post another 'discussion') etc. Another side note would be do not worry at all about 'missing out' by not going to uni, this could be another discussion entirely, but I was worried about sacrificing uni initially, but since starting I haven't thought about it once.

My advice would be really think about what you want and if the route your taking is the best way there. I was set on working in an accounting role which is why I felt like the apprenticeship was for me. However, there will be long term goals that others have that would need a different route.
