Additional information

Hi, I started an application for the Tax Grad Scheme but was unable to complete the assessments in time (my application has been withdrawn as the role has now been filled). Am I able to submit a new application for a Grad Scheme/ have the application switched to a different programme (as my application was withdrawn, not declined), or will I need to wait for the cooling off period? Thank you!

Hi Lucy,

Thank you for your reply!

I wrote to [email protected] as advised and I received an automated style response, as follows:

"Thank you for contacting the EY Talent team. Action has been taken on your request.

If your application is unsuccessful at any of the assessment stages, you can apply again after 6 months from the date you were rejected out of the process. When you apply a second time, you’ll need to use a new email address because of restrictions in our system. Applications made before the 6 month time period has lapsed will be withdrawn.

If your application has been unsuccessful because the roles have been filled, we can’t accept another application from you this time around but we’ll be in touch if a vacancy becomes available. Depending on the role and programme you’ve applied to and where you are in the recruitment process, we may be able to offer you the option to divert your application to another role and/or location. We will be in touch with you directly if you are eligible for this. Or, if you’ve previously applied for an undergraduate position and were rejected, you don’t have to wait any amount of time before applying for a graduate position (but you will need to have graduated). And lastly, if you’ve chosen to withdraw your application or the area you applied to is full, then there’s no time constraint before you can apply again."

In my case, my application was "withdrawn" by EY as the role I applied to was full. I presume this means I can re-apply without waiting?

Hi Maryam - thanks for your question. The email states: If your application has been unsuccessful because the roles have been filled, we can’t accept another application from you this time around but we’ll be in touch if a vacancy becomes available.

Please contact [email protected] to confirm if you can re-apply to another programme.
