As an update on the above, this is still the case - you are welcome to request a deferral, however you will need to provide an explanation for the request. We will then take this and request this on your behalf, and this could be accepted/rejected depending on various rationale, and as stated, there is no guarantee. Please do email your student recruiter as listed on your offer letter if this is something you wish to discuss, and we will endeavour to support you.
